About Pixora

Pixora is an on-device AI photo toolkit for iPhone: image upscaling, background removal & background composition, photo metadata (EXIF) viewing and removal, and ID photo editing. All image processing happens entirely on your device — the App does not upload your photos to a server, and no Pixora account is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Pixora work offline?

Photo editing runs offline using bundled AI models and native image APIs. Purchases and restoring purchases may require an internet connection to Apple's services. Opening external help links also requires a connection, and photos stored only in iCloud may need to be downloaded by the system photo picker before editing.

How do I create an ID photo?

Open ID Photo from the home screen and select a portrait. Pixora removes the background on your device. Choose a solid background from the color swatches or custom color picker, select a size, and drag or pinch to position and resize the foreground. A zoom slider, directional controls and a reset button are also available.

Which ID photo sizes are available?

  • US passport / visa: 2 × 2 inches, 600 × 600 pixels.
  • UK passport print, Schengen visa and Japan passport: 35 × 45 mm, 413 × 531 pixels.
  • Canada passport print: 50 × 70 mm, 591 × 827 pixels.
  • Custom dimensions: whole numbers from 100 to 3000 pixels per side.

ID photos are exported as JPEGs at the selected pixel dimensions with 300 DPI metadata. These presets describe print dimensions; online applications may require different dimensions, file sizes or other specifications.

Are ID photo exports free?

Free users can save ID photos with a visible Pixora watermark. Pixora Pro removes the watermark at the same selected dimensions. Tap Remove Watermark · Pro to open the purchase screen. Existing Pro owners do not need a separate purchase for ID photos.

Will my photo be accepted for a passport or visa?

Acceptance is not guaranteed. Size presets do not check head size, expression, lighting or all requirements of the issuing authority. Some authorities prohibit digitally altered backgrounds. Watermarked exports are not suitable for official applications. Check the current rules before using an edited image.

Official guidance: US passport photos, UK passport photos, and Canada passport photos. The editor also provides these links under Photo requirements.

Upscaling a large photo is slow — is that normal?

Yes. High-resolution upscaling is compute-intensive and runs entirely on your device. Larger images take longer. You can keep your screen on; upscaling continues even if the screen dims or locks.

What does Pixora Pro include?

  • No watermarks on any exported image, including ID photos.
  • Full-resolution HD & 4K export in Upscale and Compose.
  • GPS map editing in the metadata tool.
  • A one-time purchase — not a subscription, and no ads, ever.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open the Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

I paid but Pro isn't unlocked. What should I do?

First tap Restore Purchases. If it still doesn't unlock, confirm the purchase completed in your Apple ID's purchase history, then email us at chenxianyu1012@gmail.com and we'll help.

How do I request a refund?

All purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests are managed through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Where are my edited photos saved?

Edited images are saved to your device's Photos library only when you choose to save. Your original photos are never modified in place.

Which iOS versions are supported?

Pixora supports iOS 15.1 and later on iPhone.
